Mitzi has been an artist most of her life. At an early age she created two- and three-dimensional works of art and went on to receive various art awards while in high school then pursued a degree in Advertising and Graphic Design. During her 20+ year career in Advertising she has designed print media graphics and illustrations for many corporations including: Wrangler/Vanity Fair, Hanes, Gilbarco, Hafele America, Tropicana Hotel and Casino, and Umbro, to name a few. Mitzi's fine art talent is expressed throughout her life with her career in graphics, illustration, and her continued painting and pottery work.

Her work has shown at galleries in North Carolina and South Carolina and juried art shows. Private collectors and corporations such as Wrangler/Blue Bell Corp. and A. G. Edwards Financial Investments Inc, have purchased her artwork.
